GOVERNMENT KICK-STARTS TRAINING OF 30 TRAINERS AT THE KENYA SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT

As part of the ongoing efforts towards strengthening the capacity of the Government of Kenya to manage development, the government organized a Training of Trainers (ToTs) involving 30 government officials from different counties, at the Kenya School of Government (KSG). Through the program, the Kenya Kwanza government, under the Bottom -up Economic Transformative Agenda (BETA) intends to bring everyone on board from the grassroot level.

According to the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination Hon. Raymond Omollo, the government is working hard in pushing the implementation of its blueprint on socio-economic empowerment and as well prosperity under it's economic agenda.

"The government is progressively accelerating the implementation of its visionary blueprint on socio-economic empowerment and inclusive prosperity under the Bottom- Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)." The statement read.

In addition, PS Omollo said that the agenda involves a wide range of transformative programmes and interventions that have been formed to elevate the society at every level.

"The plan encompasses an array of transformative programmes and interventions designed to elevate every section of the society, with citizens and communities at the lowest level of the social ladder acknowledged in the efforts to revolutionize the country’s landscape of 
opportunity."

Further, the statement indicated that the government have set about cementing the position of the National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) as a force to drive the strategic interventions put in place.

"In light of the above, we have set about cementing the position of the National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) as the driving force behind these strategic interventions and forge an environment 
where every single mwananchi will not only thrive but also contribute meaningfully to our collective prosperity."

The statement as well read that the ministry of interior plays an important role in the transformation of service delivery and in the maximization of the impact of targeted investments, and as a result the department have purporsed to carry out a reorientation programme for the officers.

"Being the government’s first point of contact with the grassroots, this department plays a pivotal role in transforming service delivery and 
maximizing the impact of our targeted investments. As such, we have purposed to conduct a reorientation programme for these officers with the intent to infuse a lead-by-example mindset across the structure and 
ensure effective, efficient and responsive services at all levels."

The process have been spearheaded by the launch of a training for thirty (30) Trainers of Trainers (ToTs), who will be taught the functions and the organization of government, including in security, peace, safety of citizens, public participation, engagement and in communication.

"To kickstart the process, we have launched a training for thirty (30) Trainers of Trainers (ToTs), who will be taken through the organization 
and functions of government; security, peace and safety for citizens; and most importantly, public participation, engagement, and communication."
