DETTOL LAUNCHES NEW HANDWASHING DRIVE, TARGETING 10,000 SCHOOL CHILDREN IN NAIROBI.
Dettol, one of the world's most trusted global brands that has cobsistently driven public health and wellbeing for nearly a century has today launched a hand washing campaign in Kibera Primary School. The drive aims to provide selected schools in Kibera and Mathare with water tanks and state-of-the-art hand washing stations.
This initiative as well will target 10,000 school-going children in the selected areas and aims to promote and maintain proper personal and home hygiene habits among the school children in Kibra and Mathare areas, building on Dettol's commitment to creating a healthier and better nation.
This timely program aligns with the global observance of Global Handwashing Day, themed "Clean hands are within reach."
This initiative is in line with Dettol's commitment to promote hand hygiene education in the country and provide top-notch household hygiene products that protect against bacteria and illnesses. Speaking during the launch, the Director for Public Health and the presidential advisor on gender issues Mrs. Romana Yego said that the occasion provides a unique opportunity to look back on the importance of hand hygiene in our lives and the major steps that the nation have made.

Yego added that the launch has brought a moment to appreciate what has been achieved and as well recognize the importance of water sanitation and hygiene in the primary health system.
