Royal Group of Companies Earns Expanded Diamond Mark Certification

By Kelvin Kamau

Mohamed Hassan Ali, Director of the Royal Group of Companies, has praised the event hosted by KEBS, where the company received a new Diamond Mark of Quality for its HDPE pipes, adding to existing certifications for its steel products and plastic tanks.
Ali emphasized that the Diamond Mark, a voluntary certification, has been instrumental in building customer trust and boosting business growth across their steel, tank, and pipe divisions. He noted that quality-focused clients often request certification proof, and the Diamond Mark has served as a powerful marketing and anti-counterfeit tool, particularly in a market divided between those prioritizing price and those valuing quality.
Royal Group has held the Diamond Mark for pipes and tanks for 6–7 years, earned it for steel in 2022, and just received it for HDPE pipes.

Ali encouraged other manufacturers to pursue the certification, stating, “Quality is everything in today’s market,” especially as Kenya moves toward stricter standards and better consumer protection.

The event which was hosted by Kenya Bureau of Standards, KEBS was graced by Industry, Trade and Investment CS, Hon Lee Kinyanjui, managing director, KEBS Esther Ngaare among others.
