Chrome Marks 10 Years with Chromoka Campaign: Celebrating Culture, Creativity, and Community

Nairobi, Kenya, October 9, 2025 — Chrome, one of Kenya’s most iconic and culturally rooted spirit brands, has unveiled its first-ever national consumer promotion dubbed “Chromoka” — short for Omoka na Chrome. The vibrant campaign marks a decade of the brand’s journey while setting the stage for the next ten years of creativity, empowerment, and connection.
The launch, held at Chrome City — a lively celebration of art, fashion, music, and street culture — underscored Chrome’s deep ties to Kenya’s youthful and progressive spirit. Over the years, the brand has become synonymous with optimism, self-expression, and a uniquely Kenyan energy that continues to shape the country’s urban culture.

“Chrome has been more than just a beverage — it has been part of countless cultural moments, a reflection of the joy, creativity, and connection that define us,” said Andrew Kilonzo, Country Managing Director at EABL. “Chromoka is our way of celebrating that shared journey while reaffirming our commitment to the people who have made Chrome what it is today.”

At the heart of Chromoka is a National Consumer Promotion (NCP) worth over KSh 34 million, designed to reward over 110,000 consumers across the country. The prizes reflect Chrome’s dedication to empowering its community through art, creativity, and self-improvement.

Participants stand a chance to win a wide array of rewards — from digital art pads, smartphones, laptops, and content creator kits to exclusive branded merchandise. In addition, the campaign will offer curated masterclasses in areas such as art, music, and fashion, allowing budding creatives to upskill and pursue their passions with guidance from industry leaders.

The highlight of the campaign is the grand cash reward — where ten lucky winners will each take home KSh 1 million, symbolizing the brand’s ten-year journey and its bold outlook for the next decade.

“Chromoka is about celebrating, empowering, and connecting,” noted Mark Mugisha, Marketing and Innovations Director at KBL. “It’s more than a giveaway — it’s a reflection of who we are as a brand that stands for creativity, hustle, and growth. We’re not just rewarding consumers; we’re investing in their dreams.”

To participate, consumers need to purchase any Chrome bottle bearing a scratch panel, reveal the unique code, and send it via SMS to 22110. Weekly draws, conducted in partnership with the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB), will ensure every participant has a fair chance to win.

Chrome also reaffirmed its commitment to quality and responsibility, encouraging consumers to verify product authenticity using the Soma Label app and to always enjoy responsibly.

As Chrome celebrates ten years of inspiring creativity and cultural expression, Chromoka stands as both a tribute to its loyal consumers and a promise of an even brighter, bolder decade ahead.
