PS Silvia Museiya Hosts Staff Get Together to Reflect on 2025 Gains and Set Agenda for 2026

The Principal Secretary for Wildlife, Ms. Silvia Museiya, convened a staff get together aimed at strengthening institutional cohesion, promoting meaningful interaction, and reflecting on the progress achieved in 2025, as the State Department for Wildlife looks ahead to a new year of renewed focus and action.
The forum brought together staff from across the department in a relaxed and reflective setting, offering an opportunity to review key milestones recorded over the year while candidly discussing lessons learned and emerging priorities. Ms. Museiya lauded the team for their dedication, resilience, and unwavering support, noting that the successes registered in 2025 were the result of teamwork, professionalism, and a shared commitment to public service.

She urged staff to consistently embrace positivity in their work and personal lives, observing that a positive outlook not only enhances productivity but also strengthens relationships and improves overall well being. The Principal Secretary highlighted that the collective efforts of the department had recently seen her receive two awards from the Head of Public Service, an achievement she described as a testament to the strength of collaboration, unity, and shared purpose within the State Department for Wildlife.
Ms. Museiya emphasized that gratitude remains a powerful driver of growth and opportunity, encouraging staff to cultivate a mindset of appreciation in all circumstances. She called on them to invest deliberately in self improvement by upgrading their skills, enhancing their quality of life, safeguarding their health, and nurturing family well being. According to the PS, such investments yield long term dividends, both in professional advancement and personal fulfilment.

She further encouraged staff to remain contented, kind, and grateful, noting that these values foster harmony in the workplace and contribute to a supportive, resilient, and high performing organizational culture. Ms. Museiya reaffirmed her commitment to an inclusive and people centred leadership approach, underscoring the importance of listening, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in achieving departmental goals.

In their remarks, staff expressed appreciation for the Principal Secretary’s leadership, citing her open door policy and consultative style as key drivers of morale and institutional growth. They affirmed that the State Department for Wildlife has continued to strengthen its capacity and impact, crediting her stewardship for nurturing a united, motivated, and forward looking workforce.

The Principal Secretary concluded by announcing plans for another engagement early next year to set the tone for 2026, outline strategic priorities, and reinforce the department’s commitment to planning, teamwork, and action as it continues to advance wildlife conservation alongside the well being of communities.
