Nairobi, Kenya – The Iranian Embassy in Nairobi has strongly condemned the recent military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iranian targets, describing them as “brazen acts of aggression” and a violation of the United Nations Charter.
In a press statement released on Friday, the embassy accused the US and Israel of destabilizing the Middle East and undermining ongoing diplomatic negotiations. “These attacks threaten regional peace and international security,” it said, emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable under international law.
The embassy reaffirmed Iran’s right to self-defense and warned that its armed forces will respond to hostile actions with all necessary measures. It called on the UN Security Council to convene an emergency session and urged global leaders to condemn the aggression.
Highlighting the broader impact, the embassy noted potential disruptions to energy markets and the threat to regional stability, stressing that escalation could have serious international consequences.
Meanwhile, the Kenyan government has expressed concern over the developments and is monitoring the situation closely, particularly regarding the safety of Kenyan citizens and the potential economic impact.
The embassy’s statement underscores Iran’s firm stance against foreign military intervention while seeking international support to uphold peace and security.
