Lucy Uside Calls for Unity and Community Support During Ofafa Maringo PAG Fundraiser
Nairobi, Kenya — Hamza Maringo MCA aspirant Hon. Lucy Uside has called on residents to embrace unity, generosity and community development during a fundraising event held at Ofafa Maringo PAG Church.
Uside, who addressed congregants during the fundraiser, commended the church leadership and members for coming together to support the initiative, saying such events demonstrate the importance of collective responsibility in strengthening communities.
She urged residents to continue supporting churches and community-based initiatives, noting that religious institutions play an important role in providing spiritual guidance, supporting families and promoting social welfare.
“As a leader and a member of this community, I believe leadership is about serving, listening to the people and standing with them when they need support,” Uside said.
The MCA aspirant also highlighted the need for greater opportunities for young people and women in Hamza Maringo Ward. She said her vision for the ward focuses on unity, accountability, empowerment and improved opportunities for residents.
Uside further encouraged residents to contribute towards worthy causes according to their ability, saying every contribution, regardless of its size, can make a difference when people work together.
The fundraising brought together church members, community leaders and well-wishers who contributed towards the church's development efforts.
Uside thanked the Ofafa Maringo PAG leadership and congregants for welcoming her, and reaffirmed her commitment to working with residents and community institutions to promote positive change in Hamza Maringo Ward.
She concluded by calling for continued cooperation among residents, saying that a united community is better positioned to address its challenges and create a better future for its people.
“Tuko pamoja, tunasonga pamoja, na pamoja tutajenga Hamza Maringo yenye matumaini na maendeleo,” Uside said.
