Mwanzo Mpya Society Calls for Peace Ahead of 2027 Elections
Mwanzo Mpya Vision Society, led by Chairman Charles Mwangi, is calling on Kenyans to maintain peace and unity as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election. Speaking in Nairobi, the society urged politicians to stop using young people as political goons, warning that the youth are often left to face the consequences of political conflicts. The group also encouraged eligible but unregistered young people to register as voters and use the ballot to express their views instead of resorting to violence. Mwanzo Mpya Society said Kenyans should promote unity regardless of their political, ethnic, religious or social differences, and resolve disagreements through dialogue and respect for differing opinions. The society further called on community leaders, religious organisations, parents and young people to take an active role in promoting peaceful coexistence.
