TVS Motor Launches TVS Apache RTR 180 in Kenya, Marking a New Era for Performance Biking

TVS Motor Company, a global leader in two and three-wheeler manufacturing, has unveiled the TVS Apache RTR 180 in the Kenyan market, strengthening its long-standing partnership with regional distributor Car & General.
The launch represents a major milestone for the Kenyan motorcycle industry, introducing a machine shaped by two decades of race-bred engineering, cutting-edge technologies and a global community of over 6.5 million riders across more than 60 countries. The arrival of the Apache RTR 180 brings TVS Motor’s “Track to Road” philosophy to Kenya—translating racing performance into everyday riding for urban enthusiasts.

The TVS Apache RTR 180 is built on 43 years of TVS racing legacy, combining precision handling with advanced engineering. The motorcycle is powered by a 177.4cc high-performance engine, delivering 15.22 PS at 8,500 RPM and 14.1 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM.

Front and rear disc brakes
Beast-inspired LED headlamp
Wider rear tubeless tyre
5-speed gearbox
With these enhancements, the Apache RTR 180 sets a new benchmark in its class, offering an exhilarating yet controlled ride for both city commuting and off-road trails.

The motorcycle’s debut comes shortly after TVS Motor’s impressive showcase at the EICMA Motorcycle Exhibition in Italy. The company says the Kenya launch is part of a broader strategy to deepen its global footprint, expand into new markets, and deliver world-class engineering across regions.

The Apache RTR 180 will be available across 12 Car & General dealerships, priced at KES 269,990, and offered in four colour options: Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Black, and Matte Grey.
