Hon. Wanjohi Engages DAP K Leader Eugene Wamalwa in High Level Talks on Youth Empowerment

Kabete parliamentary aspirant Hon. James Wanjohi on Tuesday held a consultative meeting in Nairobi with DAP K Party Leader Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, focusing on youth empowerment, economic recovery, and inclusive national development.
The cordial engagement brought together emerging grassroots leadership and seasoned national experience, reflecting a shared commitment to addressing challenges facing young people and communities across the country.

During the meeting, Hon. Wanjohi outlined his vision for Kabete, anchored on creating practical opportunities for the youth. He highlighted initiatives such as the upcoming Kabete Darts and Pool Tournament, an innovative platform aimed at nurturing discipline, focus, and resilience while steering young people away from unemployment and social vices.

He noted that sports and creative engagements can play a critical role in building confidence and life skills among the youth, while also opening pathways to economic empowerment through talent development and strategic partnerships.
Hon. Wamalwa lauded Wanjohi’s community driven approach, describing it as the kind of forward looking leadership Kenya needs at both constituency and national levels. He observed that empowering young people through structured programs, skills development, and innovation remains key to unlocking the country’s economic potential.

The two leaders also exchanged views on broader national issues, including economic recovery following recent challenges, the importance of devolution in promoting equitable development, and sustainable strategies to address youth unemployment. Education, vocational training, and stronger public private partnerships featured prominently in their discussions.

The meeting concluded with both leaders expressing optimism about future collaboration aimed at advancing youth centered policies and fostering national cohesion. They emphasized the need for unity of purpose between emerging leaders and national platforms to drive meaningful change.
The engagement signaled growing political synergy and renewed focus on practical solutions for Kenya’s youth, positioning Kabete as a constituency keen on innovation, empowerment, and inclusive growth.
